Day 1
- Salvador de Bahía - Itacaré transfer by van along the beautiful green road, presenting breathtaking landscapes. This is approximately a 5 hour transfer which includes the ferry across to the magnificent Bahia Todos os Santos and a stop at the impressive Pancada Grande waterfall of Ituberà (more than 60 metres). Meeting with the ornithologist and biologist who will lead the birdwatching in the following days.
Day 2
- Birdwatching in the primary forest at the Reserva Natural Janaina.
- Packed lunch.
- observation of the Robbery birds in open areas
- Birdwatching at sunset
- Back to Itacaré
Day 3
- Birdwatching in the primary forest at Janaina Natural Reserve.
- Packed lunch.
- Transfer by foot to the river lodge, on the other bank of the Rio de Contas river (3 hours) passing by the waterfall Pancada Grande do Pinheiro where it is possible to have a swim.
- Accommodation in the river lodge.
- Dinner
Day 4
- Transfer by Van (3 km) to the Rio Capitão Reserve for birdwatching.
- Packed lunch
- Dinner and accommodation at the river lodge.
Day 5
- Transfer to Itacaré on a launch by the Rio the Contas river (3 hours). River birds and spectacular mangroves.
- Optional: lunch at the Cabana Ariramba on Concha beach
- Accommodation in a lodge.
- Afternoon free to enjoy some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Day 6
- Bird watching in the State Park Serra do Cóndurú and to Lagoa Encantada (Enchanted lagoon)
- Packed lunch
- Back to the lodge in Itacaré
Day 7
- Bird watching in the wet estuary of Piracanga river.
- Packed lunch.
- Back to he lodge in Itacaré.
Day 8
- Back to Salvador (about 5 hours)
